Copper Kettle Brewing Company is a locally owned mom and pop brewery with a tasting room established in Denver in 2011, surrounded by local neighborhoods. CKBC seeks to create what America seems to have lost: a local neighborhood bar in which we strive to know your name and your story. Sit down, relax, and enjoy a beer with new and old friends.
MEET THE TEAM
Jeremy Gobien, Ph.D
Jeremy has been a homebrewer with his wife Kristen for years in their home in Raleigh, NC. Jeremy decided to put his engineering and brewing experience to the test by opening Copper Kettle Brewing Company in 2011. He has his Ph.D from NC State in material science engineering and has found many similarities between his degree and brewing. Jeremy also runs a business designing brewing equipment for craft breweries large and small.
Favorite CKBC beer: Snowed In Coconut
Kristen is responsible for managing the daily operations of the business, along with wearing multiple hats around the brewery as needed. Kristen is a Nurse Educator with Sanofi. She'll never turn down a beer if it includes chilling out in her backyard with Jeremy, and their dog Charlie and watching her kids play. (Our regulars call her "K1").
Favorite CKBC beer: Czech Pilsner
TASTING ROOM MANAGER
Gabe hails from New Hampshire and has 20+ years of experience in craft beer. He's done it all from home brewing to serving. Gabe has many years of music experience as a guitar player and loves talking music. Gabe has three dogs and they are all named after the band, Phish.
Favorite CKBC beer: Helles Bavarian Lager
HEAD BREWER/MASTER JANITOR/EXPERT COUNTER
Greg is originally from upstate New York and has lived in Colorado since 2008. He has a B.S. in Molecular Biology from the University of Connecticut. When not brewing, cleaning, or counting things he spends his time going to shows with his wife Meredith or playing in the backyard with his cocker spaniel Maibock.
Favorite CKBC beer: Oktoberfest Lager
BREWER/MASTER OF THE FIRKIN' UNIVERSE
Phil holds an Associate Degree in Brewing from Siebel Institute of Technology in addition to a degree in Biology from Pepperdine. He has lived in California, Germany, and Chicago. He has two young kids and as a Colorado native, spends his free time cycling, snowboarding, and sipping on the fruits of his labor.
Favorite CKBC beer: Citrus Paradisi
Matt is a Colorado native and is no stranger to beer. He has been a home brewer and loves hazy IPAs and lagers. Matt has a degree in the music business and has booked shows all around the country. He loves all music but is a punk rocker at heart.
Favorite CKBC beer: Sobremesa
Charlie is everyone's favorite part of CKBC. Having a beer named after him, Charlie's Golden Strong, he is a true representation of all things Copper Kettle and always the most popular one in the room.
Favorite CKBC beer: Whatever spilt on the floor
